Perfect Moment Monday — Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Each week I participate in Perfect Moment Monday, sponsored by the blog, WeeblesWobblog.com. According to her blog, “Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect Moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.” And so, here is a Perfect Moment for this week.

My son, Bryce, is playing Little League baseball this season and was recently invited to play with a competitive team on the Front Range a couple of weeks ago.

My hubby and I were unable to attend because Bryce’s twin, Ryan, was playing in his first lacrosse tournament in another city three hours away from Bryce’s event.

As I watched Ryan’s lacrosse tournament, I received texts and photos from my sister and brother-in-law, who had traveled (with their cute son, my nephew) to watch Bryce play.

It was Mother’s Day weekend and I felt so much pride, gratitude and love…watching and cheering for Ryan playing lacrosse (with me sitting in between my oldest son, James, and my hubby, Tom),  keeping up with Bryce’s baseball accomplishments via text, and knowing that my sister and her family took time out of their busy lives to go support Bryce (and cheer for him since my hubby and I were unable to go).

That I also received flowers from my sweet, thoughtful husband before watching Ryan’s team win the lacrosse tournament on Sunday was frosting on the cake.

In fact, it was Perfect!
