Intuitive Tuesday — Six of Coins (Reversed)

Today’s card — the Six of Coins (Pentacles) Reversed — comes from the Legacy of the Divine Tarot by Ciro Marchetti.

In its upright position, it is a card of charity and giving. The idea is that you have enough prosperity and flow to share with others.

When it is reversed, however, the Six of Coins can act as a warning. There may be jealousy, miserliness or possibly some strings attached that may not have been fully exposed.

In Anthony Louis’ book, Tarot: Plain and Simple, Louis says the Six of Coins (Pentacles) reversed, “often suggests a loss of money or property due to carelessness, dishonesty, or lack of prudence. Someone may refuse to pay a debt or return a favor, or a loan may come due, leaving you financially strapped.”

Although this may not be the BEST news in the world, when I pull cards that I’m not thrilled about, I realize that it’s better to be aware (but not paranoid) as to what *might* be coming my way.

This is a great time to mention (as I do to all of my clients), that I don’t use tarot cards as a way to tell the future, but more as a way to tap into what’s happening right now, what the emotions are surrounding a situation, and to gain greater insights into how to best handle various situations in life.

Knowing that there is ALWAYS free will…I know that no matter what comes my way, I can handle it.

With the Six of Coins (Pentacles) reversed, remember that Pentacles have to do with money. With that in mind, be cognizant of what’s going on with your money — either money coming in (or expected to come in) and/or money going out (anything from debts you owe to donations you may be making).

Know that you and your views of money play an active role in your energy exchange with the universe.  Combine this knowledge with today’s card — the Six of Coins (Pentacles) reversed — as a reminder to stay aware, and remember that you always have free will…so make the most of it.
