Perfect Moment Monday — Mother’s Day Pedicure

James meticulously polishing my toes after a fabulous foot rub.

Each week I participate in Perfect Moment Monday, sponsored by the blog, WriteMindOpenHeart.com According to Lavender Luz, “Perfect Moment Monday” is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect Moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.” And so, here is a Perfect Moment for this week.

So this year on Mother’s Day, we were coming through my home town on our way home from a weekend trip. We had been delayed several times throughout the day, but my family waited for us to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Have I told you how wonderful my mother is? My sister, wrote a beautiful post about my Mom for Mother’s Day, which was recently posted here. Each time I read this post, I get tears in my eyes because my Mom really is that great.

To give you an idea how fabulous my Mom is, she texted each of my teenage sons prior to our arrival to her house, to see if they would give me a Mother’s Day pedicure…and they agreed!

Since I only have two feet, but three kids, Ryan helped his cousin, D, give his Aunt Tami, a foot rub and a manicure, while James and Bryce massaged my feel and polished and decorated my toes. I relaxed back in the recliner enjoying all of the special attention.

Wow! Did I feel like a princess!

At yoga last week, a couple of people wondered why the polish on my feet didn’t match.  Bryce polished my left toenails mauve, while James polished my right ones light pink. But if you look closely, all of the nails have the same blue design.  When I told my fellow yogis the Mother’s Day pedicure story, they would say something like, “Ahhhhhh….that sounds heavenly!”

And it was heavenly. In fact, it was SO heavenly

that it became this week’s Perfect Moment Monday!
