Intuitive Tuesday — Ace of Coins (Reversed) Again

Every Tuesday I select one tarot card and give you my interpretation of it. See how it applies to your life and ask, “What messages are here for me ?”

As I shuffled the cards to select this week’s Intuitive Tuesday tarot card, I said, “Tell me what messages I need to bring to my readers this week.”  I selected the Ace of Coins/Pentacles (reversed) from the Gateway to the Divine Tarot deck by Ciro Marchetti.

I covered this tarot card on an Intuitive Tuesday post less than two months ago. So why is it coming up again?

Because I’m facing a similar situation and need a gentle reminder about the meaning of this card.  Perhaps you are doing the same thing???

If you remember from the previous post:

The Ace of Coins/Pentacles (reversed) card could mean that your financial foundations are flawed, or possibly that you are struggling with money, etc.

If the Ace of Pentacles in its upright position is referring to a successful venture, perhaps the card is reversed because it is taking longer than you had planned to get your new enterprise off the ground.

And…just like the message in the previous post, I can try harder to make something happen (frustrating and exhausting myself), or I can allow the events to unfold and respond consciously.

I read an excerpt from Rolf Gates book, Meditations from the Mat: Daily Reflections on the Path of Yoga where he emphasized the beauty and ease of allowing things to flow:

“The mistake is believing that we can get where we are going through effort…Note your impulse to push past the point in which harmony is possible. Note what is keeping you from backing off and simply holding the posture at a point in which integrated experience is possible. Make effortlessness your aim. (page 190)

Make effortlessness your aim. That is profound….and a timely message for me.

A personal example:

Last Friday we received our housing assignment for our new home of the military post where my husband will be going to school for a year. We visited our new home town a couple of weeks ago and saw the various housing options on the post.

We stopped by the housing office and were told unofficially to expect a certain neighborhood, which we thought would be perfect, especially for our kids who are reluctant to move, even temporarily.

The housing assignment we received was NOT what we expected. In fact, it was the one place we said we would not live, mostly due to the size and condition of the houses. Yes…I realize that this is what military housing is like most of the time, but this was not what we expected…at all.

My sweet husband immediately got online to see what other options exist, and we decided that we will make the best of it, no matter what. But over the weekend, we put a LOT of effort into creating options that would work better for us.

Did you catch two key words in that last sentence? “Effort” and “Work.” Neither of these words seem to go with the term flow or resonate with the phrase, “Make effortlessness your aim.”

And so, with this week”s tarot card, the universe gave me a gentle reminder (from my previous post):

If you have an Ace of Pentacles (reversed) situation happening, notice it, acknowledge it, feel your feelings about it…and then, if possible, apply what you learned last time. Let it go. Breathe through it and know that the reversed energy with right itself and you will move on.

Although the Ace of Pentacles (reversed) situation may feel all-encompassing now, the tarot cards remind us that this is just one step of the cycle. Things will move forward and you will handle it.

You always have and you always will.

OK. I get it. No need to hit me with over the head with a two-by-four. The universe has my attention and I continue to learn and experience my lesson.

The message for me today (and possibly for you too): Have faith, trust…and make effortlessness your aim.
